Divine Tools?!
Have you ever ran past an ad on social media and thought to yourself…. Man I could really use some of this in my life? You go buy it, learn about it then forget about it!!!
What is it about this human experience? We buy stuff that we really wanted and needed at that specific time. Only to later have buyer regrets. Or no regrets and still just forget about that “thing”.
The thing I’m speaking about is….health courses, wellness classes, college courses, things about budgeting, mindfulness, journals, breathwork, starting that business, courses about journaling, meditation, spirituality and the list goes on and on!
We purchase and forget. Sometimes we actually complete the endeavor. We see it through to completion. But in that completion you seem to forget. We forget because we didn’t apply. We are in a time where information is always readily accessible and at our fingertips. We are always consuming. What we do with that consumption takes an effect on our lives. But what we consume could also absolutely be consuming us [if you know you know].
The bigger question is. Why are you consuming it if you can’t apply it in some form or fashion into your universe? It isn’t to say never try anything new, nor allow yourself to experience people of different cultures and walks of life. But to watch the company you keep. What is that old adage? Birds of a feather flock together? Now that you are well into your mid-life crisis (ha, you can kid your 36 or older self if you want! Look at this write up of human life expectancy and ask yourself are you having a midlife crisis?) what does that statement mean to you?
So, if I want to do better I must read, deprogram, reprogram and reintroduce my brain to positive thoughts, positive experiences, radical honesty, gentleness, love and respect. All while taking on life! And you wonder why you’re having a midlife crisis?!
Life isn’t a race. It is okay to slow down. We all move at different speeds. So why try to get there faster because someone else is already there? Why does society dictate life? Why do you have to live by those rules? Who made those rules your core values? If that is indeed the case. Why isn’t everyone living by kindness? Okay I’m rambling. Back to my original point. If we’ve been given the tools and we know by now innately what to do and refuse to do it. Then what exactly is that saying at this particular stage of life?
Surrender, is the next step here. It is time to simply let go! This is where it gets tricky. Because now you have a huge choice to make. Do I stay stuck in the known? Stay in the environment I know intimately? Or do I go into the wilderness? Because in our human minds going into that wilderness is walking into a lake of fire. You don’t know what’s going to come about of it. You don’t know what to expect. But you the mind is tricky. It will have you thinking that the worst will happen…. It will have you looking sideways at people that are trying to help you. It is called ego & fear. Your ego because you’re too afraid to admit these things to anyone to get help. Your fear, because you are too afraid to move forward. Causing you to be stuck in a loop of stagnancy. Stop trying to control the narrative. Just let it go. As if you say what if things go horribly wrong. But what if things go amazingly right? You pick up and learn from the experience and move forward. Life is all about experiences. At the height of when our down and high experiences occur is when I feel our character is being tested most. Because your actions stick with you by way of karma. Doesn’t mean you aren’t forgiven in the most highs eyes when you ask. It just means that for every action is a reaction. Maybe not in this life but certainly a past or future.
Anywho, I’m saying all of this to say surrender to the unknown. Pick up the pieces of your life and use those tools you’ve been given. And if you are still here and seeking to find the right tools. Click here!
