The Gift of Introspection

For the longest time I would wake up early go to bed late. Mind and wheels spinning. Just contemplating life, the journey, the end. Life can be a serious conundrum. Or it can be as simple as caramel cake.  I turned 37 this past week. Which is why I'm just getting back into the flow of writing. I went into deep introspection of my life and the direction I have for myself.  One of the huge downloads I received is us as humans we make life complicated. We add all of the extra on top. Meaning in the beginning of your life you weren't concerned with how you looked, what you wore or what anyone had to say about you. Not even how much money you had in your pocket/bank! As a child we are wildflowers. We are carefree, loving, open, and overall just enjoying life. We play, sleep, eat and grow. But somewhere along the way we go through this metamorphosis of becoming a teenager- happens roundabout 12-15. We begin to create our own everything. We began to look at others and want to make a name for ourselves. We leave that sweet version of ourselves back in intermediate/elementary school. By the time we are going to high school we've completely changed.

Then we keep living and as we keep living life reflects what is happening on the inside of us to us in our everyday lives. Our energy is reflected in the people we meet daily. But we don't take the time to stop and realize it. Most of the time we'd like to avoid ourselves. Think about this for a second though if you don't like yourself enough to spend time with you, why would someone else? It is okay to realize the type of person you are. The greatest test is what you do after that realization! Do you take heed and begin to grow or do you throw rocks at the reflection and avoid it? As we keep moving through life it changes us it can change us for the better or the worse. Some folk get stuck and never move forward. There emotions and feelings, even sometimes thoughts are that of a teenager and they are full grown adults. This is why wisdom doesn't have an age.

Anywho, I said all of this to say. Be authentically you. If you are completely different from who you were yesterday that is 100% okay. No one else has to walk in your life/shoes but YOU! You are the CEO of you. The creator of your universe within. So love you. Adore yourself. Be gentle with you. Take the time you need to actually get to know you. Life is a journey not a race. It is perfectly fine to go at your own pace. Just because colleagues or other people you know are further or behind doesn't mean you are off. It just means you are going at things in your own time, which I like to call divine timing. Trust your path, trust that you are exactly where you're meant to be! ❣
